How I Got Engaged, Bought a Home, and Got Married in Less Than 6 Months

By Trusting God, Working Less, and Moving in Silence.

If you would’ve told me a year ago that I’d be engaged, a homeowner, and married to the love of my life all within 6 months — I probably would’ve laughed.
Not because I didn’t want it, but because it felt so far away.

For years, I was overworking, overthinking, and honestly… overwhelmed. I thought I had to hustle nonstop to make big things happen. But everything changed when I slowed down, trusted God more, and moved differently.

And no, it wasn’t “luck.” It was alignment — and a whole lot of faith.

Here’s exactly what shifted in my life and how everything I was praying for found me — faster than I ever imagined.

1. I Trusted God Even When the Timeline Didn’t Make Sense

There were seasons I didn’t understand.
Doors that didn’t open. Delays that didn’t feel fair.

But looking back, every “wait” was God’s protection.

When I finally let go of the pressure to “figure it all out” and started trusting that God’s plan > mine, I felt peace — and soon after, progress. God was never late. I was just trying to rush what needed time.
Once I aligned my pace with His, everything flowed.

2. I Worked Less and Let God Do More… no LITERALLY

This might sound backwards, but hear me out:

I stopped forcing success through burnout.
Instead of obsessing over “doing more,” I started resting more — not out of laziness, but because I believed that God could move even when I paused.

And guess what?
He did.

By making space in my schedule and in my spirit, I started attracting what I was once longing. Love, clarity, opportunities — all of it.

3. I Moved in Silence and Guarded My Blessings

I didn’t need validation from the internet or opinions from others.
I chose to move privately, peacefully, and prayerfully.

I didn’t broadcast every date, every milestone, or every moment.

Why? Because I wanted to protect what was sacred, not perform it for likes.

Sometimes God moves quietly — and our job is to protect what He’s building until it’s ready to be seen.

4. I Focused on Becoming, Not Just Praying for a Partner

Yes, I prayed for a my Boaz, a God-sent partner. But I also worked on becoming the woman I was praying to be — mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

I healed.
I forgave.
I stopped settling.
I started loving myself more — and requiring that same love in return.

When the right person came, there was no confusion. No “what are we?” talks. It was easy, intentional, and mutual — because I was ready.

5. We Bought a Home With Purpose, Not Pressure

We didn’t chase the “perfect” home or the “forever” home.  We also didn’t try to impress anyone…just each other.
We prayed over it. Budgeted . Looked with discernment. And trusted that the right space would come.

And it did. I’m so impressed with how God did that!

No drama. No rushed decisions. Just peace — and keys to a home we love.

6. Our Elopement Was Simple, Meaningful, and God-Centered

No huge production. No stress.
Just love, laughter, and the presence of God.

Our elopement was a reflection of everything we built together:
Peaceful. Private. Purposeful.

And honestly, it was perfect.

But DON’T get it twisted, I’m still planning my big Wedding Ceremony for all our family and friends to celebrate with us!

Final Thoughts
This journey taught me something I’ll never forget:

  1. You don’t have to beg for what’s already yours.
  2. You don’t have to prove your worth to receive a blessing.
  3. You don’t have to scream for attention when God is already writing your story.

You just have to trust, rest, align, and move purposefully.
To anyone feeling like it’s “too late” or “too hard,” it’s not.
Your story isn’t behind schedule. You’re just getting ready for something better than you imagined.
And when does it come? You’ll understand why it had to happen this way.
